The Original Hothead Bugs are tiny 3.25" lures that extend the range of microgame fishing lures. These lures are hard heads and like all of our lures, hand poured polyurethane. These lures will attract any predatory fish, all of which eat small baitfish. The smaller the baitfish the more likely it is to be eaten as it's an easy meal.

Even though the Bugs are tiny they are a game fishing lure for all species from Tailor, Bluefish, Kingfish, all Tuna species and sizes and also Billfish of all sizes, therefore we recommend that leader no lighter than 80lb be used. Hook size is Dojo size 15 or if targeting bigger fish, Dojo size 20.

Do not underestimate this lure. Indeed it will catch all the small predators including Tuna and Dorado, and it will also catch lots of big ones as well.

The Uzi is a tiny version of the very successful Pakula Zipper. Though we thought this lure would be great for small tuna, mackerel, bonito, kingfish etc, we did not expect it to do as well as it has in catching marlin up to 300kg!!. Within a month of its release the UZI had won the Cairns Light Tackle Tournament, The Ribbons Light Tackle and has been used in winning The Frazer Coast and the Gold Coast Bluewater Tournaments.

The Uzi has been in such high demand since its introduction we have had special skirts made just for this lure. In fact, the colour range is even more extensive than those available for our larger lures. This lure has certainly excelled to such an extent many anglers actually stop using it at times because they have to stop every 100 yards to pull in the fish!!!

The Fluzi was developed to provide a compleat pattern of these very effective tiny lures. The Fluzi is great in rough weather in any position but is primarily a short position lure for the Short Corner and Short Rigger positions.

Though you can run these on tackle as light as 4kg, they are by no means small fish lures, in fact, Marlin over 150kg are not uncommon on these lures.

Do not underestimate their capabilities, they are just as useful trolling the wide canyons on heavy tackle as part of a spread of larger lures as they are on the light tackle grounds for Sailfish and smaller Marlin.
Apart from their inherent action and ease of use, these lures are the size of most small schooling baitfish and therefore more likely to match the hatch. To improve your odds each lure has it's own specific action to trigger feeding responses. The Phantom is an incredibly effective game fishing Lure. Don't judge it by its diminutive size. It is a big fish lure that has won many Sailfish, Black Marlin and BIG Blue Marlin Tournaments. It is primarily a long corner, long rigger and is a legend lure on the shot. Its straight, tight swimming action will continue in any conditions at any speed. Even when the fishing has shut down the Phantom still performs its spell catching lots of fish in waters where no other lures or even live baits are working. It has earned it's status primarily in the colours Evil Angel and Pink Angel, but all the Pakula colours have done very well on the Phantom.

The "Mighty" Cockroach works well in all trolling positions, though it is primarily a ‘short position'.The Cockroach has an aggressive action that hugs the water at all trolling speeds and will work fine in all weather conditions. This lure has gained an enormous reputation, quite simply because it works so well!

The Small Sprocket, also known as the Medium Sprocket, is a long rigger lure with a tight swimming action that will work in all conditions at any trolling speed. This family of lures has been responsible for a great many of the successes of Pakula lures in fact as Peter Pakula says: "always run one of the Sprocket family in Lumo colours, and never move it!". The Small Sprocket is not just a light tackle lure and will hold it's own trolled in the Shotgun position in a heavy tackle spread, especially in the Angel colours.

The Guru is a long corner, long rigger and shotgun special. Its straight, tight swimming action will continue in any sea conditions at most trolling speeds, including the slower fuel saving speeds of 6 to 6.5 knots.. Because of the incredible success of it's smaller brother the Phantom, The Guru has been redesigned to behave in the same manner and should give you the same results in light tackle fishing and better results using medium and heavy tackle. The best colours in the Guru are greens, blues, browns and blacks.
