Instructions Using a Witch Doctor with the Wings:
– There is a lot of pressure on the Witchdoctor with wings. Have the length of the tow rope free to feed out with the rope tied to a cleat. To deploy it, slow the boat to idle before putting it in the water over the side of the boat, not off the transom, as it will be sucked into the props.
– Check the tow rope isn’t being abraded on the cleat ot stern of the boat.
–ย To Retrive the Witchdoctor with Wings, put the boat in idle as there’s lots of pressure on the Tow Rope.ย As it gets close to the boat, put the boat in Neutral and retrieve the Witchdoctor at the side of the Boat, not the transom.
Using the Witchdoctor With Wings as a Downrigger:
The Witchdoctor with wings is a very effective downrigger.
– Connect a 3-foot (90cm) tagline to the end of the Witchdoctor Wire.
– Use a rubber band to connect the Rod’s Main Line. The Rubber band should have a breaking strain around the same as your drag setting.
– Set the hooked lure about 15 feet (4.5m) behind the Witchdoctor.
