The Long Chuggers are the first production Pakula Lures introduced in the early 1980’s. Their incredible success put them at the top of the Pakula Lure family tree. Many of the Pakula lures that followed are offshoots of the first Long Chugger. Our first 3D-printed lure, the Shredder, owes its heritage to this lure.
It has a very wide head shake, pivoting off the end of the head, and grabs a massive bubble trail as it booms through the surface. When run in a pattern of Pakula Lures, it belongs on the short corner. When run in a mixed pattern, where each angler runs one of their own lures, run it on the shotgun or as far back as allowed. It then becomes a ‘blocker’ having enough action and sonics to hopefully draw most if not all of the strikes.
